Product Description
A high performance, semi-synthetic, soluble metalworking fluid formulated to enhance machining operations, improve surface finish and lower operating costs whilst providing excellent product stability and bio-resistance.
Metalworking fluids contain a biocide, which is a chemical used to control the growth of bacteria and other microbes that may infect metalworking fluids during use. Bacteria and microbes cause foul smells, corrosion, lower the pH and present a health risk if not controlled properly in the metalworking emulsion. The most common biocide traditionally used slowly released ‘formaldehyde’ into the metalworking emulsion to control the microbe concentration. Within the European Union the substance ‘formaldehyde’ has been reclassified under the REACH regulations and this has resulted in some of the Miracool range of products requiring additional CLP labelling, “H350 – May cause cancer”. Aztec Oils have redeveloped these products to remove the formaldehyde releasing biocide and in turn the required labelling.
